I'm Kimmy.
I've been in the doula game for almost five years, spanning two (soon-to-be three!) provinces. I've attended over a dozen births and have been blessed to witness new life being born, love solidified, and the creation and addition of family.
My passion lies in what the word doula means; a woman who serves. I'm a helper at heart. I want to help ensure every rebel woman has support; support for her decisions during pregnancy and labour. Support for her dreams and ideals for her pregnancy and birthing experience. Support for her mentally, emotionally and physically. Support for her partner. Just support, love and strength - in the way she best sees fit.
I'm a rebel mama of two. One ten-year-old, precocious and witty girl. One 6-month-old, drooling and screaming boy. Do two dogs and a cat count?
I appreciate individual choice. I value personal freedoms. I love me a rebel woman and....

- Two years volunteer and work experience with two midwiferies, in two provinces
- Two years working with the Women's Health Clinic at South Health Campus
- Director-At-Large, Birth Unlimited (Non-profit organization that publishes Birthing Magazine)
